4th Test: England 61/2 at lunch against India on Day 1
New Delhi: Electing to bat, England were 61 for two in their first innings at lunch on first day of the fourth and last cricket Test at Nagpur on Thursday.
India paceman Ishant Sharma’s double strike dents England early and dismisses Captain Alastair Cook on first day of the fourth and last cricket Test at Nagpur on Thursday.
The in-form England skipper is having his best cricketing days in the current Test series against India but unfortunately the captain failed to yield runs today. Cook scored just 1 run before being dismissed by Sharma.
Earlier in the game, Sharma scalped in-form English opener Nick Compton on first day. Compton scored just 3 runs before being caught behind by wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and opted to bat against India in the fourth and last cricket Test at Nagpur.
India, who trail 1-2 in the series, have brought in all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, for whom it will be his Test debut, and leg-spinner Piyush Chawla, making it a four-pronged spin attack with Ishant Sharma being the only pacer in the side.
For England, pacer Tim Bresnan has replaced Steve Finn, while Joe Root will make his debut at the expense of Samit Patel.
